Who we are

As a local, community-driven organization, our mission is to safeguard our beaches and marine habitats through dedicated cleanups and advocacy efforts.

We are primarily a group of dedicated activists based at Archie Williams High School in Marin County, California.

Our vision

We envision our Golden State's shores as pristine sanctuaries where local wildlife—from harbor seals to California sea otters—can thrive in a clean and healthy environment without threat of pollution.

Our goal is to foster a deeper connection between the people of our communities and our beautiful coastlines. We eliminate our "trash blindness" every time we pick up litter.

What we do

What we do

01

Beach clean ups

Golden Waves organizes and leads monthly beach cleanup events across the Bay Area, including Ocean Beach!

We will always bring music, snacks, and good vibes.

02

Community outreach

Involving youth from local primary and middle schools, as well as community members of all ages, is vital for our mission.

We meet new activists across our community through multiple channels of advertising and community event engagement.

03

Fundraisers

Bake sales and other fundraisers are frequent.

The money we raise is used for cleanup safety equipment, activities, promotion, and other costs that are necessary to keep the organization running.
